About Coconino National Forest
Coconino National Forest spans nearly two million acres of Northern Arizona, one of the most ecologically varied national forests in the country. Its boundaries encompass Sedona's red rock canyons, Oak Creek Canyon, the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest in the United States, and the San Francisco Peaks, Arizona's highest mountains, all within a single forest managed by the U.S. Forest Service.
